(I really should start reading the news again, lol.) I would have taken my kids, too. Screw the onlookers and their comments - good for you for giving them real experience in how we can make real change happen. :)<br /><br />Julia went to her first demonstration when she was nearly 3 months old - the Westboro Baptist people were coming into town to protest the funeral of one of the Flight 3407 victims, and we were among the counter-demonstrators. (I'm sure some would say bringing my infant out in February in Buffalo was not the wisest idea, but she was bundled up in her sling under my coat...and I think you can't start too early in getting your kids involved in social activism... :) )Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
